Structural Investigations and Building Monitoring 

At times Samuely needs to gain a better understanding of what the structure is doing. This is often the case when signs of damage has occurred and an element of building monitoring needs to take place to understand further behaviours.  

Our investigations also shed light on building make-up (material, form, support, etc) where building information is lacking. 

Whether it is a structural investigation of a domestic building to support a building survey report, or a acting as a requisite study prior to major refurbishment of a listed building, our investigations aim to uncover hidden issues, verify assumptions, and guide future design decisions.  

Each type of asset will have their own set of minimum criteria, review and approval process.  

When assets are involved, through the use of detailed dimensional and condition surveys, movement assessments and impact predictions, Samuely are able to determine the best course of action – be it design solution, construction sequence and methodology – to reduce impact on the asset and thus mitigate risk for the developer and contractor, and promote robust, transparent communications with the asset stakeholder.
