MORTLAKE ROAD

This semi industrial workspace once housed the headquarters of the Jigsaw fashion chain. Working with AMD we have transformed the buildings to create contemporary commercial spaces, set within a landscaped courtyard.

The original buildings have been retained and re-used where feasible and enhanced with the addition of solar PV on the roofs and low energy mechanical installations.

The structural works included adding a new floor and roof over the workshop area, but reusing the existing foundations and external walls.

The adjacent building, a former manor house, has been repurposed with the addition of new staircases and floor areas. This sustainable modernisation preserves the existing building fabric to provide flexible studio and office spaces.
