LINCOLN AVENUE

A major renovation and extension to this tired 1960’s detached house in Wimbledon.

The rear of the house was cleaned up; the existing conservatory was removed and a new ground and first floor extension added. This incorporates a few subtle level changes and so our supporting structure became a bit convoluted as a result.

The new rear elevation incorporates 2 large windows with sliding and folding doors. These can sometimes be a challenge due to tight deflection limits set by the window manufacturer. Here we were able to use steel beams above each window and hide them behind the external render.

The new extension leads out in to the “garden kitchen” – perfect for barbecues!
