FENNIES, WOKING

We have worked on several day nurseries with Fennies and have assisted in developing a house style for their brand.

This project required the wholesale transformation of a rundown Victorian county house. Major internal alterations were required to create the open plan spaces that are essential in a nursery environment.

The existing building was robust, as Victorian buildings tend to be. The simple addition of a few steel beams here and there was generally sufficient to create the various rooms.

There was an unattractive 1970’s addition to the existing building. This has been overclad in black timber and had porthole windows punched through the facade to enhance its contrast with the Victorian masonry.
